Santa Barbara 22, Hueneme 15--Santa Barbara spoiled Hueneme's homecoming by foiling a Viking drive in the closing moments to preserve the victory.

The Dons (4-2, 2-1) were led by running back Khalid Hurst with 209 yards and two touchdowns in 24 carries.

But the Vikings came back on the first play of the next series on a flea-flicker play with quarterback George Jones hitting Reyes Romero for a 60-yard touchdown.

After Santa Barbara took a 14-7 lead on Dan Nunez's 20-yard pass to Alvaro De La Mora, Jones scored on a nine-yard run. His two-point conversion pass to Romero gave Hueneme a 15-14 halftime lead.

Hurst's two-yard run in the third quarter provided the winning score for Santa Barbara.
