Brea Programs Get $41,600 in Grants

BREA — The nonprofit Brea Foundation is giving out more than $41,600 in grants to 12 city-sponsored programs, including the municipal gallery in the Civic & Cultural Center.

The Brea Gallery will use the grant money to open on Sunday afternoons and Friday evenings. Other grant recipients are the Concerts in the Park series, Curtis Theater, Family Fridays in the Park series, Senior Citizens Emergency Fund, Helping Hand Scholarships, youth baseball and basketball, Volunteens, Family Night Swim, Day Camp and Tiny Tots Summer Fun Club.

Now in its 13th year, the Brea Foundation collects donations from individuals and organizations to support cultural, recreational and human service programs in the city.
