With Western trailing, 7-0, in the first quarter, Bell returned a kickoff 86 yards to tie the score. Later in the quarter, he broke through and blocked Tony Iliescu's punt and returned it 23 yards for a score to give Western (6-0-1, 1-0-1) a 21-7 lead.
