YEAR-ROUND RAP: Snoop Doggy Dogg, his brother Nate Dogg and their cousin Warren G have lent their images to a 1995 calendar put together by photographer Duke Givens. But the real stars of the project are men and women of Long Beach who appear in photos along with descriptions of how violence has hurt their lives and families.

"Snoop and Warren and Nate are products of Long Beach as are these other men and women," says Givens, 23, a childhood friend of the three and the photographer on the new Snoop soundtrack album, "Murder Was the Case."

"We all have seen brothers and sisters in our area dying pretty quick, so we all came together with our collective efforts for this."

Proceeds from the calendar will go to help build a youth center in Long Beach. There are also plans in the works for sales of a Snoop Doggy Dogg lunch box to benefit the center.
