On Oct. 19, your newspaper inaccurately reported that I support a controversial utility tax in Fullerton. The following day, I was misquoted again when your paper related that I support that tax "unless it can be repealed without causing cuts in city services."
My position is and always has been to allow the tax to terminate as scheduled in September, 1995. To rescind the tax sooner would require the city to cut services commensurate with the revenue reduction or dip into reserves.
