Re "Puffery and a Bit of Intriguing Irascibility in 'Rolling Stones.' " (Oct. 27): Every time I read anything about the Rolling Stones and/or Mick Jagger, the subject of age is brought up, either the age of the band or the age of the fans. Then there is a comment on how this seems to disgust Mick Jagger.
I find the Rolling Stones' message inspiring--do what you love as long as you can. The latest Stones concert was the best concert I've ever been to, with artists performing for people of all ages who were loving the performance.
Thank goodness they haven't quit; we would have missed a lot of fun and entertainment. I don't blame Jagger for being sick of comments about age. It should be irrelevant. True art transcends age, race or nationality, and the Stones have proved that they are true artists.
