In other Division I water polo:

Corona del Mar 28, Lakewood 4--The top-seeded Sea Kings (20-4) scored the first 28 goals, including 10 in the second quarter. James Palda had six goals and Neil Heuston had five for the Sea Kings, who play Trabuco Hills in the second round Tuesday.

Foothill 15, Mission Viejo 7--Brian Brown had six goals for Foothill (21-5), which advanced to play North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake.

Newport Harbor 15, L.A. Loyola 4--Gabe Wyatt scored five goals and Chris Richardson added three for Newport Harbor (14-12), which advanced to play second-seeded San Clemente.

San Clemente 19, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 4--Jordan Hewko scored five goals and Colin Shaughnessy added four for San Clemente (25-2).

Trabuco Hills 12, Long Beach Poly 4--Jimmy Bray scored six goals and Chris Wright had 15 saves for visiting Trabuco Hills (17-11).

In Division II water polo:

Esperanza 26, Garden Grove 5--Senior Mike Stanley scored five to give him 96 for the season. Jason Mericle had four goals for the top-seeded Aztecs (20-7).
