RECORD RACK

In Brief

November 20, 1994|Steve Hochman

* * 1/2 Green Jelly, "333," Zoo. Little is sacred in Jellyland: Even the band's own 1993 surprise hit, the metalized "Three Little Pigs," gets sent up here. Grunge and neo-metal are targets for most of the good-natured, cartoonish pokes, all played for fun and with pretty good chops. But rarely does GJ transcend the satire a la Spinal Tap or the Rutles.

New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent).
