In a restructuring of part of Fox Television, R. Gregory Meidel has been named president and chief operating officer of Twentieth Television and Peter Faiman has been appointed to the new position of president of production.
The move consolidates several Fox units into Twentieth Television, which will oversee development and production of non-traditional programs as well as domestic TV production and sales. Twentieth Television's network television division, which produces such series as "Picket Fences" and "The Simpsons," has been renamed Twentieth Century Fox Television and will operate as part of the company's Twentieth Century Fox filmed entertainment unit.
Meidel has been president of Twentieth Television's domestic TV division since November, 1991. Faiman, who will report to Meidel, has been senior vice president of Fox Circle Productions since May, 1993.
Darrol N. Groven has been appointed president and chief executive of Kasler Corp., a Highland, Calif.-based heavy construction company. Groven, 50, who was previously executive vice president and chief financial officer of Kasler Holdings Co., Kasler's parent company, has been acting as interim president of Kasler Corp. since May, when the previous president, Jack Cowan, resigned.
