Con artists have been posing as utility workers to burglarize homes, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power warned Friday.
The impostors, who have been working in pairs and targeting mostly elderly residents, identify themselves as employees of the DWP or another utility, said James Derry, the DWP's customer service director.
