Moose That Killed Man Is Destroyed by Officials

January 15, 1995| Associated Press

ANCHORAGE — A moose that stomped a man to death was killed by wildlife officials after it tried to attack a professor. The moose appeared to be protecting its yearling calf in both attacks at the University of Alaska Anchorage, officials said after the Friday incident.

On Monday, the moose stomped Myung Chin Ra as he tried to enter a campus building. Witnesses said students had harassed the moose and calf for hours, and the animals were agitated when the 71-year-old man tried to walk past them.
