Smartflex Systems Inc.: Group Technologies Corp. of Tampa, Fla., said Thursday it will acquire Smartflex, a privately held Tustin maker of components for electronic equipment.

The deal was valued at about $40 million in cash and securities. Smartflex had sales of about $76 million last year.

Group Technologies makes electronic products for aerospace, health care, medical, computer and military markets.
