March 19, 1995|From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Arrow Air Inc., a Miami-based airline, will be grounded until it can show that its planes are airworthy, the Federal Aviation Administration says. Arrow Air ceased operations voluntarily after an FAA investigation "uncovered serious violations" in record-keeping and documentation of maintenance on critical engine components, agency officials said. Arrow Air operated a fleet of 18 aircraft, primarily Douglas DC-8s and Boeing 727s, the FAA said, and offered passenger and air cargo service.
