OCA Applied Optics: The Garden Grove company said Monday that it has entered into a $2-million cost-sharing agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation's Research and Special Programs Administration to develop an Ultra Violet Dial Lidar system that can detect chemical agents from a distance. OCA is part of a consortium with Los Alamos Science Inc. in Los Alamos, N.M., that, along with the state of California, will provide cash and contributions of $1 million. The federal government will provide a grant of $1 million.
