Vitesse Semiconductor to Take $1-Million Charge

March 28, 1995|Jack Searles

Vitesse Semiconductor Corp., based in Camarillo, announced that it will take a charge of about $1 million because one of its customers, Advanced Computer Research Institute, a French concern, has filed for bankruptcy protection.

The charge to operations will cause Vitesse to have a net loss in its current fiscal quarter, the company said. Revenues for the period are not expected to be affected significantly.

Vitesse says it is the world's leading producer of digital gallium arsenide integrated circuits for use in computers and other applications.
