Costa Mesa 8, Edison 7--Julie Collet hit a two-run homers in the bottom of the seventh to give Costa Mesa (7-3) the victory. Sonia Correa (3-0) pitched an eight-hitter and was two for three with two RBIs for Costa Mesa.

Capistrano Valley 4, Magnolia 3--Sara Petrella allowed only one earned run for Capistrano Valley (5-6).

Bolsa Grande 2, Corona del Mar 0--Lakisha Houston allowed only one hit, striking out six and walking none for Bolsa Grande (7-4).

Erica De Los Santos had an RBI single in the fourth to put Bolsa Grande up 1-0, and Jamie Wilkes added an RBI single in the fifth.

Brethren Christian 10, Century 2--Brooke Hostetter had 11 strikeouts and has not allowed an earned run in the last 40 innings and Natasha Saran went two for four, including a two-run home run in the sixth for Brethren Christian (6-2).

Buena Park 10, Compton Dominguez 0 (5, mercy)--Alicia Davison (4-4) had 11 strikeouts in four innings for host Buena Park. Brandi Tatman had two hits for Buena Park.

Sonora 7, Anaheim 3--Ami Cisco pitched five innings and struck out five to earn the victory and Jennifer Brown hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning for host Sonora (7-4).

Mission Viejo 3, Irvine 2 (12)--Brianna Galaviz tripled home Alyssa Mauro from first base in the bottom of the 12th inning to give host Mission Viejo the victory. The victory was Mission Viejo's fifth of the season, matching last season's total.

Liberty Christian 3, Fontana Ambassador Christian 2--With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Liberty Christian's Lisa Winters singled to score Evette Duran from second base with the winning run after Ambassador Christian had tied it, 2-2, in the top half of the inning.

Orange 9, Troy 0--Alison Bond pitched a three-hitter for Orange (4-2) and Dara Marzolo hit two doubles for the Panthers.

Mater Dei 10, Cypress 0--Monica Lucatero and Paige Kollen each hit two-run home runs for No. 4 Mater Dei (8-1). Lucatero had two hits and Paige hit her first home run of the season in a pinch-hit effort in the sixth. Cypress is 6-5.

Sunny Hills 2, Esperanza 1--Megumi Takasaki had a home run and Jennifer Deane pitched a four-hitter for Sunny Hills (1-3).

In the Garden Grove League:

Rancho Alamitos 8, Los Amigos 0--Mandy Gerouard (2-6) pitched a no-hitter for host Rancho Alamitos (3-9, 1-2). Ha Nguyen had three hits, four stolen bases, two RBIs and one run scored for Rancho Alamitos.

Pacifica 4, Santiago 0--Toni Mascarenas pitched a one-hitter for visiting Pacifica (9-1, 2-0). Sherri Iscio tripled for Santiago's lone hit.
