HUNTINGTON PARK : New Police Chief Gets Five-Year Contract

March 30, 1995|ENRIQUE LAVIN

The Police Department, mired in controversy for the past year, has a new chief.

The City Council voted unanimously to hire Randy Narramore, a police chief for seven years in a small Central California city. Narramore, 46, received a five-year contract with an annual salary of $95,340. He will begin work April 1.

Narramore replaces interim Chief Bill Reed, who was hired to investigate allegations of misconduct in the 65-member department.

Chief Frank Sullivan resigned in May amid allegations of sexual harassment, favoritism and discrimination.
