Ground-breaking on a $5-million ice-skating complex in Oxnard will take place at noon Thursday on Maulhardt Avenue near Rice Avenue and the Ventura Freeway.
The 65,000-square-foot Oxnard Ice Skating Center is expected to open in November, officials said.
The complex, which will be the county's second ice-skating facility, will contain two regulation-sized ice rinks, a sports shop, food services and meeting rooms.
Public skating sessions, hockey leagues and skating, dancing and aerobics classes will be available.
