"South" Bound and Determined

August 20, 1995

This is a follow-up letter that appeared in the Aug. 6 TV Times about the canceled CBS series "Due South." I want to second its ideas and emotions: "Due South" is indeed a special show. It is a shame that CBS never had a clue how to market it.

The tragedy is that CBS continually preempted its time slot and then blamed the show for the poor ratings. Canadians will get another season of the show, and meanwhile Americans are experiencing DSWS (Due South Withdrawal Syndrome).

We are trying to fight back and get CBS to renew the show or some other network to pick it up. With a very sure assumption that there are many "Due South" fans in Southern California, here's how to reach a group that wants it back:

Friends of Due South c/o Ann C. Keitz, Anandale, VA. 22003. akeit@nas.edu

P.S.: There is also a very strong and active discussion list on the Internet: dsouth-1@vm.ege.edu.tr)
