Four-Star Films : 'Paper Moon'

August 20, 1995|Kevin Thomas

Ryan and Tatum O'Neal (pictured) are one of the most charming couples-on-the-run ever to hit the screen in Peter Bogdanovich's black-and-white 1973 Depression-era comedy. Set in the Midwest, the film offers O'Neal as a con man who latches on to a smart-alecky--and Oscar-winning--Tatum, his real-life daughter (Bravo Saturday at 6 p.m., again at midnight).
