'Suds' to Open S.D. Rep Season

San Diego Repertory Theatre's 20th anniversary season opens with a revival of Melinda Gilb, Steve Gunderson and Bryan Scott's "Suds: The Rocking '60s Musical Soap Opera," Sept. 30 through Oct. 29 on the Lyceum Stage. The season continues on the Lyceum Space with the West Coast premiere of Patrick Scott and Aldo Velasco's "The True History of Coca-Cola in Mexico," starring two actors in more than 35 roles in a romp through 500 years of Mexican history, "A Christmas Carol," Nov. 25 through Dec. 24 and Tennessee Williams' "A Streetcar Named Desire," both on the Lyceum Stage, the West Coast premiere of Bob Eaton's "Lennon," about the life and music of John Lennon and "The Whole World is Watching," a world premiere multimedia adaptation, by Douglas Jacobs and Scott Feldsher, of Sophocles' Oedipus trilogy April 27 through May 26, both on the Lyceum Space.
