Brown and Caldwell: The engineering and consulting firm said it is expanding its regional office in Irvine from 40 to 75 employees to accommodate a 20% surge in business in Southern California. About 15 new jobs will be created, while the remaining 20 positions will be filled by employees transferring from the firm's satellite office in Pasadena. The Pasadena office will close, but a new satellite office is opening in Glendale to serve clients in the San Fernando Valley. The engineering and consulting firm, which is based in Pleasant Hill, has about 800 employees nationwide.
