Singles Convention to Discuss Relationships

COUNTYWIDE FOCUS

September 23, 1995|LISA M. BOWMAN

For Leanna Wolfe, happiness is never having to say, "I do."

The singles advocate and author of "Women Who May Never Marry" is the keynote speaker at the sixth annual Ventura County Singles Convention on Sunday.

Wolfe will talk about her beliefs that people are not made to be monogamous, that being single does not mean being celibate, and that women can have children responsibly without a husband.

The convention opens at 12:30 p.m. with socializing and registration. Author Anne Boe will then discuss "How to Net Your Playmate," followed by Larry James discussing "How to Really Love the One You're With," Linda Tatum talking on "From the Bedroom to the Boardroom: How to Improve Your Relationships," and Tricia Garrett addressing "Manifesting Your Heart's Desire."

The speeches will be followed by a dinner break, Wolfe's speech and a dance party. The event takes place at the Colony Harbortown Marina Resort in Ventura.

Tickets are $25 for the entire convention, $15 for the afternoon seminars only, or $15 for Wolfe's speech and the dance. For more information, call 654-6459 or 986-5822.
