Game Shows: All American Communications, the producer and distributor of "Baywatch," has formed a joint venture to buy Mark Goodson Productions, which owns a library of popular game shows, including "The Price Is Right," "Family Feud," "What's My Line?," "Match Game," "To Tell the Truth" and "Password." All American and the Interpublic Group, the advertising holding company that holds a 23% stake in the television production company, are spending $50 million for the game show assets. Through its All American Fremantle International subsidiary, purchased from Interpublic in 1994, All American already distributes and produces these shows overseas. Sony Television Entertainment has library rights to the games for its game show channel through October, 1997, according to Thomas Bradshaw, chief financial officer of All American. After that, the company might consider developing its own cable channel, or reintroducing the shows for syndication or for sale to the networks. Of the 40 game shows in the Goodson library, only "The Price Is Right" is still on the air, on CBS.
