Greyhound Cuts Some L.A. Fares

October 15, 1995

Greyhound Lines has cut fares between 14 West Coast cities in a move that can save Los Angeles consumers up to 36%. The new permanent fares were instituted in response to reductions in West Coast air fares, a spokesman said.

The spokesman said prices apply only to specific "city pairs," four of which include Los Angeles. One-way fares between Los Angeles and San Francisco are now $29, down from $35. Other new fares are Los Angeles-Portland, $47 (was $69); Los Angeles-Sacramento, $29 (was $35), and Los Angeles-Seattle, $47 (was $74). Information: (800) 231-2222.
