A former executive with the NFL pleaded guilty in Los Angeles Monday to one count of mail fraud for his role in a scheme to defraud the league of $350,000.
Michael Ornstein admitted to submitting fraudulent invoices for goods the NFL never received.
Ornstein, who was the NFL's senior director of club marketing, conspired with Brian Hughes, former NFL vice president of corporate sponsorship, and Richard Schulman, who owns four Los Angeles companies that sell promotional items to corporations, said Assistant U.S. Atty. Steven Arkow.
