Addressing the difficulties disabled Americans face in looking for work, a Cal State Northridge group will have its second career fair today.
Terri Goldstein, coordinator of the Students with Disability Internship Project, a three-year program funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, said that 39 businesses will attend, including United Parcel Service, Great Western Bank, Gallo Wine, Footlocker, Sprint and State Farm Insurance.
This year's Career Information Exchange will begin at 10 a.m. in the University Student Union's Grand Salon, with representatives from each business on hand to answer questions about the company and to recruit qualified job applicants.
Today's three-hour event is free to the public. For participants with a California disabled parking placard, free parking will be available in Lot C along Zelzah Avenue.
For all other participants, free parking will be available in Lot T at Devonshire Street and Lindley Avenue with free shuttle service to the student union.
