Police are searching for an armed robber who took computer equipment and more than $5,000 from a software business, authorities said Monday.

An armed man entered the View Plus Software store in the 1600 block of East Imperial Highway about 9:20 p.m. Saturday and robbed the store of cash, a laser printer and five computers, police said. Two employees were getting ready to close shop at the time, store manager Ken Clark said.

The assailant threatened the employees but did not injure them, police said.

The man was seen leaving in a dark blue Ford Taurus wagon with tinted windows, investigators said. He was described as a 5-foot-10-inch Asian with black short-cropped hair, about 20 years old and weighing 160 pounds, police said.
