Eddie Sutton agreed to a new contract that is designed to keep him as Oklahoma State's basketball coach until 2002.

Sutton, 59, will be paid a salary of $110,000, up from nearly $90,000.

The NCAA is investigating the Texas El Paso women's program, the El Paso Times reported.

Soccer

Goalkeeper Chris Snitko carries a shutout streak of 575 minutes into the second-ranked UCLA soccer team's game against No. 4 Brown at Spaulding Field tonight at 8.

The game is part of UCLA's 11th annual MetLife Soccer Classic being played today and Sunday. The Bruins have a 14-1 record and an 11-game winning streak and Coach Sigi Schmid's team has outscored opponents, 39-1. Brown is 10-0. Preceding the UCLA-Brown game, Fullerton (9-7) plays Washington (9-3-2) at 6.
