The Mature Traveler

1 City, 1 Hotel, 1 Peaceful Trip

October 29, 1995|HANK KOVELL

A tour concept popular with seniors because it avoids the hassles of packing and unpacking as the tour moves from hotel to hotel, is the "Stay-Put" program organized by Corliss Tours of Monrovia.

Travelers visit a major hub city in the United States or Canada and they remain in one hotel for a full week. A tour director takes care of transportation, hotel check-in, baggage handling, sightseeing, meals and other details. Participants enjoy scheduled day trips to attractions in the area, and one full day is left open for shopping or other activities.

The tours begin and end on a Saturday, so travelers who have more time can arrange to link together two one-week tours to different cities, such as New York and Philadelphia or Nashville and Atlanta.

Catalogue prices are quoted for land-only arrangements and do not include air fare to and from the destinations. Some meals are included for each tour and are outlined on each itinerary.

For a catalogue, call Corliss Tours, telephone (800) 456-5717.
