With the cost of Arcadia's downtown revitalization project spiraling up to $7 million, the City Council has decided to sue the contractor it fired last month after project delays and cost overruns.
Mayor Dennis Lojeski and City Manager William Kelly said Monday that substandard work and delays by Sully-Miller Contracting Co. have increased the construction cost of the Downtown 2000 project by $1.1 million--while adding $500,000 more in consultants' fees.
