A group opposed to violence will hold a candlelight vigil Wednesday for Mary Lewis, a Huntington Beach teenager who was allegedly stabbed to death by another teen.
The purpose of the ceremony, to be held on the six-month anniversary of her death, is to keep her memory alive, her mother, Regina Lewis, said Monday.
A procession organized by the Lake Forest Green Ribbon group will begin at Brookhurst Street and Garden Grove Boulevard at 7 p.m. Wednesday and end at Acacia Avenue and Brookhurst Way where Lewis was found fatally wounded.
A 19-year-old man has been charged with Mary Lewis' murder. Police allege that Lewis was stabbed by Alan David Salomon after an argument over money.
