Mildred Pagelow, a trustee for the Capistrano Unified School District, has been tapped to lead a regional occupational program.

Pagelow, of San Clemente, was elected president of the Capistrano-Laguna Beach Regional Occupational Program by her fellow school board members.

Jan Vickers of Laguna Beach was chosen as vice president for the 25-year-old program, which provides job training to high school students and adults.

Work fields include automotive repair, business and marketing, child care, television production, drafting and computer technology.

The state-funded program is a joint effort of the Capistrano and Laguna Beach unified school districts.
