I-Flow Posts Net Income of $1.1 Million, Its First Profit

February 14, 1996

IRVINE — I-Flow Corp., a manufacturer of high-tech infusion pumps, broke into the black last year for the first time in its 12-year history.

The company posted net income of $1.1 million, or 12 cents a share, for 1995, compared with a loss of $1.7 million, or 20 cents a share, the previous year. Revenue gained 43%, to $10.1 million from $7.1 million.

The results provide "clear evidence that we have turned the corner from being a product development company to a profitable manufacturing and distribution company," said Donald M. Earhart, president and chief executive officer. The company plans to introduce seven new products this year, he added.

For the fourth quarter, net income rose to $493,000, or 5 cents a share, from $47,000, or 1 cent a share, a year ago. Revenue increased 3%, to $3 million from $2.9 million.
