Constructive Side Lines

May 01, 1996|DAWN BONKER

Ball fields are not opera houses. No one wants to sit quiet as a mouse, waiting until the end to cheer. But be positive, not instructional or ready to point out every error, says Darrell Burnett, a clinical and sports psychologist from Laguna Niguel.

* I'm proud of the way you played today.
