SANTA BARBARA--Explore the galleries and studios of Santa Barbara on the second annual "Art About Town," May 31-June 2. The tour, featuring 13 galleries and the studios of 60 artists, showcases works in a wide variety of media. Opening receptions are held in downtown venues, 5-8 p.m. Friday. Self-guided tours, with demonstrations and other activities, are noon-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Artwalkers' first stop is the Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum for maps ($5) and information (starting at 11 a.m.) The CAF is on the second level of Paseo Nuevo mall, De La Guerra and Chapala streets. CLOVERDALE--Black Bart, the legendary stagecoach robber who on a few occasions left poetry behind to taunt his pursuers, is remembered at the Cloverdale Black Bart Festival, 11 a.m.-midnight June 1. Features include live music, wine tasting, demonstrations and contests, kids' activities, an 1880s stagecoach on display and more. Free. (A 10K run is at 8 a.m.) At the Cloverdale Downtown Plaza. WINDSOR--Enjoy books, wine and food under the trees at the second annual Sonoma Odyssey, 1-5 p.m. June 1. Authors are on hand for seminars and book signings, and a huge sale of old, new and rare books is featured. In addition, wines from 30 wineries, and foods prepared by area chefs are offered. WALNUT CREEK--The 15th annual Art and Wine Festival, sponsored by the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce, is held at Heather Farm Park, June 1-2. Highlights at the free event include works by 175 artisans, continuous entertainment, more than 20 food booths, a children's area, wines from 15 wineries and beers from seven microbreweries. 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
