The Irvine Barclay Theatre has been awarded a $50,000 "corporate leadership gift" from Taco Bell Corp., the Irvine-based fast-food company. Taco Bell Chairman and Chief Executive John Martin praised the theater's professional programs and its ongoing attempt to present cultural events of international interest.

"This award brings Taco Bell Corp.'s support of Irvine Barclay Theatre in recent years to over $500,000," said theater President Douglas C. Rankin. "We are grateful to Taco Bell for the continuing leadership role it has taken in supporting the arts and the growth of quality of life in Orange County."
