Singles

Sunny Hills, Jr.

Went 49-2 in dual matches, his only losses were to section individual finalist Andrew Park. Chung won the Freeway singles title, lost in three sets to Hol at individuals round of 16.

TAYLOR DENT

Singles

Corona del Mar, Fr.

After losing eight sets during the season, Dent went undefeated in dual playoff matches and became the first freshman in nine years to win the Southern Section individual singles title.

JOOST HOL

Singles

Foothill, So.

Was 45-0 in dual matches, won Century League singles title and advanced to section individual quarterfinals before losing to Santa Barbara's Adam Webster in three sets.

JOHN CYRUS

Coach

El Dorado

One of the county's hardest working coaches, Cyrus spends long hours with his players during the summer. He led El Dorado to a 17-5 record and a tie for the Empire League title with Loara.

GREG LEVY (So.), BRANDON SHAINFELD (So.)

Doubles

Woodbridge

The duo from South Africa reached the individual quarterfinals, then helped lead Woodbridge to the Division I title with a finals sweep.

TOM LLOYD (Fr.), MATT FRYER (Sr.)

Doubles

Esperanza

Lloyd was 40-14 in singles, Fryer was 22-11 in doubles. As a team, they upset the top-seeded team at the Edison sectionals before losing in the round of 16.

CODY SHEDD (So.), ANDREW TSU (Jr.)

Doubles

Santa Margarita

Tsu was 48-15 in singles, Shedd was 32-16. As a team, they won the Sea View League doubles title and lost to the eventual champions in the individuals round of 16.

Won Freeway doubles title, lost only one set during playoffs.

Aliso Niguel

Lost in three sets to Woodbridge's Brandon Shainfeld and Greg Levy in round of 16 individuals.

Janne Sivomen, (Sr.), Dave Beydler (Sr.)

Doubles

Mission Viejo

Reached round of 16 individuals before losing to No.2-seeded team.
