Tickets Remain for Elizabeth Dole Lunch

July 04, 1996|DAVID E. BRADY

A limited number of tickets are available for a Friday luncheon in Universal City honoring Elizabeth Dole, wife of the presumed Republican presidential candidate Bob Dole.

A former Cabinet member in the Reagan and Bush administrations, Elizabeth Dole is currently on leave from her position as president of the American Red Cross while her husband pursues his presidential campaign. She last visited the San Fernando Valley in March, when she appeared at a North Hills meeting of the Christian Coalition.

Friday's event will begin at 12:15 p.m. with a reception in the Universal Hilton's main ballroom at 555 Universal Terrace Parkway. Lunch will follow at 1.

Tickets are $35, but very few tickets remained by Wednesday afternoon, said Herbert F. Boeckmann, co-chairman of the event. People interested in attending should call (818) 778-3035 for more information.
