Toast Points

July 11, 1996|PHIL ANDRES

If you want your morning bread brown, not black, these tongs from J.K. Adams in Vermont may be just what the toaster ordered. Simple toast tweezers, they allow you to reach right into the mouth of your toaster to safely remove any muffins or slices of bread lodged in the slots. And since they're made of wood, you won't get that unbecoming home permanent that can result from probing the electric coils with a knife or fork. There's even a built-in magnet on the end so the tongs can hang conveniently on the side of your toaster until needed.

Available at Jordano's in Santa Barbara.
