PROJECT

A Tuck and Fold Job

July 11, 1996|TRACY CROWE McGONIGLE

Napkin folding is a skill that isn't typically passed down through the generations these days. And unless you're a waiter or waitress, the subject usually doesn't come up. Your party is a failure if you run out of drinks, not if your napkins aren't up to snuff.

Still, there are times when it's fun to dress up the table. It's simple too. And if you look in your garden for flowers, twigs or leaves to place on top of the napkin, you'll add a little life to the table setting and distract your guests' eyes from any imperfect creases.
