Mom Needs a Break, Too--Send Her to Summer Camp

July 21, 1996

Are there any mothers out there who need a break? So what are you waiting for? Start packing and go to camp--Camp Mom.

Cost is $150 per mom and that's for five meals and two nights' lodging in a dormitory-style cabin with bathroom and shower. Now remember, that's two glorious, demand-free, no-chores nights. As for the daytime, the fee includes swimming, canoeing, horseback riding, volleyball, dancing, hiking, yoga, arts and crafts, an old-fashioned campfire or . . . doing nothing.

Pampering is available, too: $25 for a 30-minute body massage or $35 for a 45-minute facial.

Camp Mom, which is part of Camp Getaway, will be held Aug. 16-18 at the Pathfinder Ranch and Conference Center in Idyllwild. Call Myra Peck at (714) 470-4751 for more details and to make a reservation. The registration deadline is Aug. 2.
