Germany Finally Finds Way to Win

Defending champion Germany finally got its first victory, beating Pakistan 3-1.

Germany (1-1-1) built a 3-0 lead on two goals by Andreas Becker on penalty strokes and a field goal by Sven Meinhardt.

In another Group A game, Spain came from behind to down Argentina, 2-1, in the matchup of the only undefeated teams. Spain overcame a 1-0 deficit with Javier Arnau's field goal and Juan Escarre's penalty corner early in the second half.
