The Family Channel features a six-hour marathon of "Gidget" movies Sunday, each with a different actress in the title role. The films, for ages 7 and up, begin at 1 p.m. with Gidget Goes Hawaiian. This 1961 movie stars Deborah Walley as Gidget and James Darren as Jeff (Moondoggie) Matthews. Gidget is miserable when she has to leave Moondoggie to go with her family on a Hawaiian vacation, but she doesn't remain that way long. Soon she is having fun, until a jealous female friend starts a vicious rumor to harm Gidget.

At 3 p.m., Gidget (Cindy Carol), Moondoggie (Darren) and friends travel to Rome in 1963's Gidget Goes to Rome. Gidget is escorted around Rome by her father's Italian war buddy and Moondoggie falls for the gorgeous Italian tour guide. For the family.

In 1985's Gidget's Summer Reunion, which airs at 5 p.m., Gidget (Caryn Richman) and Moondoggie (Dean Bulter) have been married for seven years. But the couple is in financial trouble and, to complicate matters, Moondoggie's rich boss is making passes at him. In an effort to save the marriage, Gidget brings her husband's old surfing buddies together to honor him at a surprise birthday.
