Latin Media Group Gets Boost From Investors: A group of investors led by Burbank-based Shamrock Group has put $30 million into Latin Communications Group Inc., owner of Spanish-language newspapers and radio and TV stations. The Shamrock group includes various Shamrock executives, the Roy E. Disney family and a subsidiary of General Electric Pension Trust. Shamrock is the investment arm of the family of Roy E. Disney, nephew of the late Walt Disney. Schroder Wertheim was the financial advisor to Latin Communications. The investment is expected to help Latin Communications expand and buy Spanish-language media properties.
