Salvage crews recovered the second of TWA Flight 800's four engines and the remains of two more victims off Long Island, N.Y. So far, 198 bodies have been recovered. A third engine has been located underwater. The fourth was believed buried under "a substantial amount of wreckage," a Navy spokesman said. The Paris-bound jet exploded off Long Island on July 17, killing all 230 people on board. Evidence on an engine--a certain type of dent or flame pattern, for instance--could help determine the cause of the disaster.
