Stinking Batches

So you've been cooking up batches of all that stuff that's good for you--chicken, fish, onions, garlic--and now your hands smell like chicken, fish etc., no matter how much you wash them. Is that fair?

Of course not; but there's a solution. You put your hands under running water and rub them all over (including between the fingers and under the nails) with this egg-shaped piece of stainless steel for 30 seconds. As if by magic, the odors disappear.

The $11.95 gadget, made by a company named iSi, is called the Odor Steeler, and it includes a little extension for cleaning under the nails and a wall holder to keep it handy to your sink. Available at Gelson's in North Hollywood and Cookin' Stuff in Torrance, or call (800) 211-9608 for stores in your area.
