Church Burns in Dallas

September 11, 1996| Reuters

DALLAS — A predominantly black Dallas church was burned in an arson Tuesday, but fire officials said it was not clear if the blaze was racially motivated.

A vandal apparently broke into the Church of the Living God in South Dallas shortly after midnight and set the blaze, which wrecked much of the building.

Fire officials said the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms were investigating.
