Golfer Is Found Dead; Playing Partners Sought

October 22, 1996| Associated Press

NEW BERLIN, Wis. — A dispute on the 18th hole of a golf course led to the death of a 51-year-old golfer, who apparently was kicked in the chest.

Some at the New Berlin Hills Golf Course said the assailant and two partners immediately fled in a car; others said the threesome finished the hole first.

The victim, whose name had not been released, was found collapsed Saturday at the suburban Milwaukee municipal course. His young son was standing nearby.

No arrest had been made. Investigators said they were pursuing the death as a homicide.
