JC FOOTBALL ROUNDUP

November 03, 1996|MITCH POLIN

Valley 52, L.A. Southwest 0--The L.A. Southwest defense entered the game ranked No. 2 in the WSC in passing defense and left in shambles.

Valley (7-1, 4-0) quarterbacks David Lins and Bryan Paul combined for 275 yards and three touchdowns in the first half as the Monarchs opened up a 49-0 advantage. Only a decision by both coaches to use a running clock in the second half slowed the Monarchs.
